Delegation Criteria
To foster a healthy, decentralised Solana network, cySOL delegates stake only to validators who meet all of the following requirements.
1. Mission Alignment π
- Actively endorse the cySOL vision: fee-cycling LSTs as a catalyst for deeper DeFi liquidity.
- Willing to publish cySOL Epoch-Cycle schedules & analytics on their own channels.
2. Community Presence π
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| Public-facing Website | Validator must operate a site or blog explaining their infra, philosophy, and performance metrics. |
| Active X (Twitter) | Regular updates on Solana, DeFi, MEV, and LST topics. |
| Educational Content | Threads, spaces, or articles that demystify staking economics, validator rewards, or MEV best-practices. |
3. Economic Parameters π°
| Parameter | Hard Cap |
|---|---|
| Inflation commission | β€ 5 % |
| Jito MEV commission | β€ 10 % |
Validators exceeding either threshold at any time become ineligible for new stake and may be rotated out in the next delegation sweep.
4. Operational Expectations βοΈ
- Uptime β₯ 99 % in the past 5 epochs.
- Timely adoption of Mainnet-Ξ² upgrades.
- Have undergone KYC by SFDP or other agencies.
5. Zero-Tolerance Policy on Harmful Conduct π«
Certain behaviours undermine both stakers and the wider Solana ecosystem. If a validator is found to engage in any of the following, cySOL will revoke all stake immediately and place the validator on a permanent ban list:
| Category | Examples (non-exhaustive) |
|---|---|
| User-hostile fee changes | Sudden or un-signalled βcommission rugsβ. |
| Malicious MEV | Sandwich attacks, front-running, or other tactics that exploit DeFi users. |
| Fraudulent Representation | Publishing falsified performance data or misrepresenting affiliation with cySOL. |
Banned validators are removed from all future delegation cycles with no option for appeal, ensuring the pool remains a safe venue for stakers and a level playing field for compliant operators.
